A Word on Julia Child, Honorary Board Member It was my good fortune to call Julia Child a friend of mine and a friend of the Stanley B Theatre. I met Julia in the fall of 1995 at the very same time I was starting the theatre group. One of the things I told her was that I wish I had found the desire to do this when I was younger. At the time I was 35 and thought I was starting too late. She then informed me that she did not make her first television appearance until she was 50 years old. She told me that at 35 I was "just leaving my diapers behind" and so there was plenty of time to do what I wanted to do. Over the years I knew her, she was fun, informative, interesting, and a genuine real person. I was privileged to share dinners in her kitchen and even cooked my mother's pasta sauce for her, which she quite enjoyed. Her passing is clearly a loss to many who knew her and many who admired her. I'm grateful to her assistance to me personally and to the Stanley B Theatre. I will always hold her in fond memory and may God bless her. Bruce-Robert Serafin, Founder, Stanley B Theatre.
